Aromatherapy for home: 5 simple and cozy mixtures for aroma lamps




Aromatherapy is different: someone is fond of and sees the result, someone is condescendingly, but nothing more, and someone completely considers this direction heresy. But even the most real skeptic will hardly argue with the fact that smells in our lives play an important role. And if so, then the basic knowledge about the theory of aromas will not interfere with anyone, right?


The fact is that our olphus system (a system of perception and processing of information about the world through smell) is a very ancient apparatus, much more ancient than the logical apparatus.
Different smells and aromas affect different zones of the brain in different ways, some are able to calm and even cause drowsiness, others to arouse, others cause anxiety, fourth-to force us to experience a feeling of hunger, etc. And the ability to use the power of odors to create “weather In the house ” - a very useful skill.

Aromatherapy for home

There are two ways of flavoring premises. The most common is aroma lamps or smokers: water is poured into the container, essential oil or a mixture of oils is dripped into the water, a warming candle is placed down. A variety of this method can be considered the use of a fumigator, which our enterprising citizens added to aromatherapy: essential oil is dripped onto the metal plate of the fumigator, after which the device is left on for 30-40 minutes.


The second method is the aromatization of rooms with a glass or ceramic pulverizer (plastic pulpers are not suitable, the essential oils corrode plastic). This method, by the way, is very effective for sterilization of air during the flu epidemic, for example. In 1 tablespoon of alcohol, 5 drops of tea tree or myrrh oil are dissolved, and this mixture is poured into 1 liter of water in a pulverizer. Before use, the solution must be shaken.


Dry flowers and herbs are also great for prolonged flavoring, they absorb essential oils well and for a long time then evaporate their aroma. The classic method is a vase with dry buds and petals, the oils can be dripped directly onto the flowers, then the petals are carefully mixed and left. When the smell disappears, you can simply apply the mixture again. Aromatherapists are advised to take a vase with a narrow naked, drunk oils or a mixture of oils in it, put a bouquet of dry flowers and fly the neck with wax - the bouquet will flavor the room for a long time.


On the same principle, cabinets are flavored - dry grass and flowers are stuffed into a plastic or tissue bag, essential oil is dripped on them, after which the bag is tied (holes are pierced in plastic) and put in a closet. The classic recipe for our grandmothers to combat moths: 5 to the essential oil of lavender per bag, it is better to put on the bag in each wardrobe.

Mixtures for aroma lamps

So, we make up an aromatic mixture. All basic aromas can be divided into groups:
· Seductive: geranium, lavender, patchouli, ylang-ylang, lemon balm, neroli, rose, cedar, valerian;
· Essential oils used for nervous overwork: mint, Mayran, cloves, rosemary, lemon, thyme, basil, camphor, ginger;


· Essential oils used in depression: bergamot, geranium, lavender, ylang-ylang, lemongrass, cedar, jasmine, lemon balm, violet, cedar, vanilla, yarrow, neroli;
· Oils used to increase tone and performance: peppermint, bergamot, eucalyptus, lemon-grass, patchouli, rosemary, geranium, sage muscat, neroli, lemon balm, orange, rose, pink, ylang-ylang, cedar, grapefruit;


· Erotic oils: ylang-ylang, patchouli, jasmine, rose, grapefruit, sandalwood, vetiver.
In the aroma lamp you can use both clean oil and the mixtures composed in advance. Properly composed mixtures for aroma lamps are felt barely, the smell does not press, it is barely felt. If any of the smells is too aggressive and you constantly notice it and think about it, then it does not suit you, make a different recipe.


Here are a few recipes from the famous aromatherapist L. Dmitrievskaya, proven many times mixtures for aroma lamps. If the house has constant quarrels, and all family members are tense, then you can try to discharge a little bit with the mixture:

A mixture that reduces voltage:

* lavender - 2 drops; * geranium - 1 drop; * Melissa - 3 drops.
This mixture has a thin herbal aroma that calms and relaxes, I want to stop scandaling and falling into the hay, count the stars in the summer night sky.

A mixture that improves mental activity

In the room where the child makes lessons, you can use a mixture that enhances brain activity:
* Muscate sage - 2 drops; * Ilang-ylang-1 drop; * grapefruit - 3 drops; * lemongrass - 2 drops; * Rosemary - 2 drops.


And if the child is afraid to fall asleep and stay in the room alone, then another mixture will help to fight fear: • Mirra - 2 drops; • chamomile - 1 drop; • Neroli - 2 drops.

Relaxing mixture

Depending on the tasks, in the bedroom (the proportion is given to a room of 15-20 m, if the room is smaller, reduce the volume of each oil per drop) you can put a chicken with a relaxing aroma:
* cinnamon - 3 drops; * Melissa - 4 drops; * chamomile - 3 drops; * Lavender - 4 capes.

Erotic mixture

And if relaxation is not included in the plans, then try the exciting mixture:
* Ilang-ylang-2 drops * limit-2 drops * rose-1 drop * sandalwood-1 drop
You should not pour more oil in the aroma lamp than indicated in the recipe - too sharp and strong smell will most likely lead to the opposite from the desired result.
